Experience
Dr. Smith first started working with troubled youth in 1981 as a volunteer with Youth for Christ. He has also worked full-time with Community Mental Health, Child Protective Services, and the Wisconsin State Hospital. Dr. Smith is a licensed psychologist and has specialized in couples and family therapy; abuse, neglect, and delinquency issues; assessment; and the treatment of sexual addictions. Dr. Smith has special interest in restoration and conciliation of individuals and marriages within the church as well as working with third-culture and missions care issues. Before coming to Phoenix Seminary he taught at Beloit College in Wisconsin.
