- Position Opening: Part-Time Enrollment Counselor
Phoenix Seminary invites applications for the position of part-time Enrollment Counselor. Applicants considered for this position will undergo a background check.
Under the oversight of the Director of Enrollment, duties will include cultivating relationships with prospective students, praying with prospective students, coordinating church displays and campus events, traveling to and conduct recruiting events and visits, making professional and persuasive presentations to prospective applicants in various venues, and clearly conveying information and advice to prospective students via e-mail, publications, telephone, and in-person interactions with respect to admission procedures, degree programs, student life, and related topics.
Phoenix Seminary students are highly motivated and currently come from 121 churches representing 25 denominations. Over 60% already serve in some form of ministry; about 70% are married. The median student age is 33. About 23% are minorities. The current student/faculty ratio is about 12:1.
The sense of collegiality and open communication among the staff and faculty is strong. The school has been designated a Best Christian Workplace for the past nine years in a row by the BCW Institute.
Phoenix Seminary is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) to offer MDiv, MA, and DMin degrees as well as Diploma and Certificate programs. The institution is also accredited regionally by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. With respect to student formation the Seminary seeks to balance academic biblical/theological knowledge, intentional character development through mentoring, and ministry skill development through church/parachurch ministry experience.
