Master of Arts in Counseling

Dr. W. Bingham Hunter, Executive Vice President and Provost for Phoenix Seminary says, “The need for godly counselors in greater Phoenix has never been greater—life for many is an unending series of personal and family challenges that need to be viewed in a biblical perspective. The fully-accredited Phoenix Seminary Master of Arts in counseling program is designed to train highly competent Christian professionals and meets the curricular requirements of the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. If God is calling you to help people through counseling, and being trained in a conservative Evangelical community matters to you, this is the program for you.”

The program includes counseling educators and practitioners as well as biblical scholars. The courses that make up the program include those integrating Christian theology along with the study of brain physiology and human behavior. Graduates of the program will complete professional internships and all licensing exams before practicing as licensed counselors.
