Designing Foundations for Organizations

Creating Practical Structure for Moving Forward With Your Dream: For start-up organizations or existing ones

Do you have a vision for a ministry?

Does your organization have a strong foundation for maximum impact?

This course provides the big picture of what a strong foundation looks like – it’s components, how each component looks and works best in your organization, and what makes each component strong or weak. It also provides tools and resources to assess and answer the following:

  • Is your organization’s foundation missing an essential component?
  • Are there one or more weak components in your foundation?
  • How do I fix a weak component to make it strong?

Course Topics:

  1. Mission & Vision statements
  2. Leadership team
  3. Operating structure
  4. Strategic Planning– work plan
  5. Budget
  6. Communications & promotion
  7. Programs & services

The Skills You Will Learn:

  • Evaluation of your Organization—Find out how strong your organization’s foundation is in each area.
  • Gain Knowledge and Tools—Become equipped with the proper understanding, tools, and resources to produce change toward a strong and healthy organization for maximum realization of potential.
  • Strategic thinking—Define your starting point, (a correct picture of where you are now), and have a clear mission and vision for what your organization is and what it will accomplish. From this framework, a systematic approach for setting short and long term goals will provide the pathway for making your vision a reality.
