Spiritual Disciplines – A Focus on Fasting

What is fasting?

Fasting from a Biblical perspective means not eating any food and instead, with a deeper focus, increase time by drawing closer to God, hearing and communicating with Him.

Is fasting a benefit to me?

YES!  Faithful and consistent Biblical fasting results in the spiritual growth and fruitfulness of our “inward man”.  Fasting also assists by renewing us these ways: building up, making stronger, sharpening senses, clearer vivid reflections, peaceful and comfort refreshings, clearer directives in decisions making and holy alignment with the Father.

Would you like to…

-Discern the difference between Biblical view & world view of fasting

-Gain added strength to resist strongholds and temptations

-Draw close to God hearing His voice and direction more clearly

-Exercise complete alignment with God’s directives

-Humble yourself, die to self and submit to God’s overall plan

…to strengthen you in your everyday life circumstances?

“When you fast…”  Matthew 6:17
