An evaluation of various church growth models, the understanding of critical managerial skills in ministry and practical ways to assimilate people into the life of the local church and mobilize them for effective service. Christian ministry involves unique legal and financial issues which are critically important, rapidly changing and rarely understood by church leaders. This course exposes Christian leaders to issues including church finances, church liability, capital projects, personal ministerial finances and non-profit status and helps them gain necessary skills to respond to them. 2 hours. Leadership Development Internship—LD 591
Designed for the MDiv LD or MABL student to develop and refine ministry leadership skills in preparation for vocational ministry. You will grow in competency through substantial ministry responsibility and accountability to a competent ministry supervisor. 120 hours spanning one or two semesters. 2 hours. Instructor: Moody. Frequency: Any semester. Required for MDiv LD and MABL Prerequisite: None. May be repeated for elective credit as LD 592 Internship II.
