Periodicals
All magazines and journals must be read in the library area. Current back issues are kept in the Periodical Reading Room just below the inclined periodical shelves. Older periodicals are kept in the 27,000-item archive area and can only be accessed with permission from the library staff. The Religious & Theological Abstracts (RTA) and Christian Periodical Index (CPI), as well as the American Theological Library Associations Religion Database (ATLA-RD), can guide patrons to numerous journal and magazine articles to do thorough research. While RTA & CPI index tools can be accessed via our server-supported computers, the ATLA-RD can be utilized from home through www.ps.edu. Patrons will need access instructions as well as an authorization number and password to use this excellent resource.
