Dr. Chip MoodyFew experiences are as formational for ministry as the years a student spends in seminary. The relationships formed with faculty and fellow students are long lasting and influential. My own seminary experience has taught me that classroom learning is only one part of theological education. The informal learning in the hallways, the student lounge, and even the parking lot can sometimes be more significant than the classroom!

Our students are why Phoenix Seminary exists. So take advantage of opportunities to spend time with all those from whom you can learn—faculty, seminary staff, fellow students, and graduates. Part of my job is to encourage these opportunities. Let me walk alongside you in pointing you to resources that will help sharpen your heart, your mind, your character, and your walk with Christ. Think of yourself as being on a shared sojourn through life in which we can learn together how to be fellow-servants during your graduate education and beyond.

To learn to exhibit “Scholarship with a Shepherd’s Heart” is a worthy and noble goal. The programs, services and activities provided by the Office of the Dean of Students and the Department of Student Life are here to help you toward that goal.

Soli Deo Gloria,
Dr. Chip Moody

Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. 1 Corinthians 1:7-9
