Dr. Norm Wakefield has taught at Phoenix Seminary for nearly 25 years. Over that time, he has had a profound impact on the lives of thousands of students. He has taught several different classes during his tenure, ranging from Creative Bible Teaching and Shepherding God’s People to Nurturing Your Family and Advanced Teaching Skills. Without question, however, the most beloved of his courses has been Living in God’s Presence.
Dr. Wakefield has announced his retirement from the position of Professor Emeritus after this semester. Although Norm will no longer be serving on the resident faculty of Phoenix Seminary, his influence and ministry will continue on. In fact, this influence will be further expanded through the release of his new book, Living in God’s Presence: Pursuing Intimacy with our Heavenly Father. This book is an invitation to embark on a journey to explore the heart of our beloved heavenly Father and to discover anew what it means to be a dearly loved child of God. Evident in all that Dr. Wakefield does is the transformative experience of God’s love. That love that has been the constant theme of his message for decades, and that love is the heartbeat of this new book.
