His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness. 2 Peter 1:3
To live as saints, God’s grace has given us everything we need—though maybe not everything we always want. “In everything you were enriched,” Paul told the Corinthian Christians. He then mentioned three areas in which this was so: speech, knowledge, and gifts (1 Corinthians 1:5-7).
God gives every believer the capacity to speak for Him. The issue is not eloquence, impressive vocabulary, or captivating personality. God gives us the ability to speak for Him as He wants us to speak. The only problem is getting our mouths in gear. Paul prayed for help in that area (Ephesians 6:19). Ask God to give you the freedom to speak whatever He wants spoken.
We’re also given everything we need to know to speak for God. He’s given us all the revelation we need. Paul says we’ve received “the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God” (1 Corinthians 2:12). The more you know what He wants known, the easier it is to speak it. Are you reading your Bible? If not, why not?
God has also provided all the gifts you need to grow—not yourself, but the believers around you. The Holy Spirit uses you and your giftedness to help other believers in their spiritual growth. Are you thinking how He might use you to help those around you grow?
