Phoenix Seminary Library & Seminary History
Through a gathering of many local area pastors and church leaders, our institution began in 1988 to prevent what President DelHousaye called "leakage" from happening--a problem of Arizona young men and women heading off to distant theological seminaries to get their degrees, and never coming back to Arizona. So we began as Western Seminary, Phoenix--a satellite campus of Western Seminary. In 1994 we shed our relationship with the school and became a brand new independent seminary. Without a library, accreditation would be difficult to receive, so the current Executive Vice Present invited a retired Air Force officer to investigate how to get this done. See how the story unfolded in the links below. The Seminary History is a work in process and will be available at a later date.
